(More customer reviews)Grabbed this from an Amazon vendor the other day for use with my Samson USB mic. I really expected it to be a bit less floppy than it is. I am stuck with few positioning options that work. The mic isn't that heavy, but it will not say up when positioned at an odd angle. It almost has to be placed directly above the mount for it to keep itself in position. Disappointing.
I have this attached to a flange mount on the side of my desk, with the intention to keep it out of my way when doing normal work, and to bring it right around when needed to screencasting and such. It's length is good, but it just won't stay up. I hope this isn't typical with all goosenecks of this length. Otherwise, I'm not sure how to go about stiffening it.
I might checkout a local music store to compare brands though.
