(More customer reviews)I bought a couple of these mic sets for a home "garage band" set up. I run them thru a little Behringer Xenyx 802 stereo mixer mated to a couple Behringer KT108 15 watt speakers, thru which I also run a stereo keyboard, electric drum set, and acoustic guitar.
I'm not a professional, so I can't compare them to more expensive mics. However, for my simple home use needs, they work great. No hiss or hum and they produce and perfectly acceptable dynamic and audio range. The speaker stand is more substantial than I would have expected and does the job just fine. No problem with the cables after 18 months of use. I've used the same set up as a p.a. system for speakers in large conference rooms for 50-100 people and it works fine for that job as well.
For a low budget home set up, you can't go wrong with this set.
