(More customer reviews)Considering how little these booms cost (less than $100, including shipping, for 2 very large studio booms), I didn't expect much when I ordered them. I got what I expected. These stands would never hold up under regular studio use, and don't even consider buying these if you are looking for something to gig/tour/travel with. Very flimsy and poorly constructed. (The boom arm bows when I attach a mic, the upright-post rattles endlessly, and I couldn't get the wheels screwed into the feet.)
Having said all that, I will be using them exactly as I intended -- as stationary mounts for room mics -- for which they seem reasonably well suited. But heaven help me if I ever have to move them!
