The buttons are mislabeled and nothing works well. The AC and DC voltage settings work as expected (inaccurate, but perhaps good enough for your application. I only use pocket MM's to get a quick idea of what's going on).
None of the other buttons or dial settings perform as labeled. A button and a dial setting both claim to be "Hz/Duty Cycle" but neither do anything of the kind... The dial setting appears to measure resistance with poor accuracy. This device does not display "Hz" or "%" on the LCD during bootup when all segments are darkened and it does not appear to have this functionality. The dial setting labelled ohms seems to be a diode and continuity check only.
If I remember correctly the "Data Hold" button changes the ranges and changes to "Auto" if held. The "Relative" button seemed to operate as a data hold, and the "Select" button's functionality seems to be limited to making a beeping noise.
Don't buy it unless it's some kind of geeky gag gift.
(If you search for pocket multimeters elsewhere you will find plenty that look the same, but are re-branded and sometimes of different color. It appears that the company who branded this device did not manage to apply the labels correctly.)
