(More customer reviews)I bought this for my wife who performs at coffee houses and shows. The stand is solid and heavy duty which is great! The problem I found, however, is that where the boom attaches to the stand, the knob used to tighten to that the boom so that it does not pivot down, is not very well designed. The knob is made out of plastic with a metal thread insert. This insert, however, tends to rotate inside the plastic preventing the knob from tightening the boom. Once you put the weight of a microphone, the boom pivots down. I contacted their customer support and they wanted me to send them the whole stand so they could diagnose it. This thing is heavy and I would have to pay for shipping. I had to spend some time trying to convince me to just send me a new knob. Eventually they agreed and sent me the wrong knobs! By this time, I decided to add some crazy glue to try to fix the metal thread to the plastic knob and this seems to have worked. For such a heavy duty stand, putting such a light duty knob makes no sense to me!
