(More customer reviews)After reading other reviews of different shockmounts, I decided to buy this because I knew it would securely fit with my Shure microphone. The microphone screws nicely into this mount. However, other shockmounts are definitely cheaper and likely just as effective (as long as they can securely hold your Shure mic). One nice feature is that this mount interferes the least with access to the microphone. With my Shure USB mic, this allows me easy access to the headphone jack and gain controls, a definite plus.
