(More customer reviews)I took a chance and ordered this item for my sons who are huge Chipmunk fans and love singing along to parts of the songs while watching the movies. I was very, very disappointed with the quality and value of this product. First off, one of the microphones didn't work properly. Second, even with the microphone that worked, you had to shout in order to hear anything over the T.V. in a Chipmunk voice, negating the fun of sounding like a chipmunk because the singer can't even hear him/herself sound like a chipmunk and the listeners hear the singer's natural voice much louder than the chipmunk voice. Third, the karaoke DVDs were of horrible quality: just words, no pictures or video, in a font that was difficult to read and looked like 80s video game fonts. Fourth, this system only comes with seven Chipmunk songs and a separate DVD with 100 other songs (I don't understand why they didn't have more Chipmunk songs as there have been many albums over the years). Fifth, the system is difficult and cumbersome to hook up; you have to plug in multiple connectors to both your T.V. and DVD, which for me meant having to unplug all my existing connections. I would have been willing to do this for a good product, but all this bother for a poor one! Sixth, my kids had no interest in trying to sing with this product. Pluses: The box, microphones, and image on the DVD disk look good, with nice images. Minuses: everything else!
