(More customer reviews)It's simple... the connectors are the wrong gender. It's got a female right-angle connector and a male straight. That would make it a fine speaker cable... but who wants their microphone at a right angle to the cable? I assumed (with normal logic) that the right-angle end would be toward the mixing board, and the straight end at the mic. Not with this cable.
