(More customer reviews)I have tried & tested this Monster Studio Pro 1000 Cable.
My studio is normally fitted out with the best Canare Neutrik cable available.
I tested this with an Original U47 Mic & Shure SM58 - Neve 1073 Flat & Apogee Rossetta 800 - ProTools HD3 on Mac.
Myself & 2 other Awarded Engineers A/B this against Standard 'Hosa' Mic Cable & Canare / Mogami.
BTW I love Mogami, Canare & Neutrik.
The results were unanimous - the Monster was the best sounding cable accross the board - the extended sub bass resonse - tight mid to low bass - clarity in the mid range & amazing hi frequency detail without a fake top end shine made it ear opening! The Transient Response was even Greater! It not only sounded better but you could see the greater detail in the Waveforms!
I have Professionally Engineered for over 15 years & Trained with Bruce Swedien (J-Lo, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Nat King Cole, Sarah Vaughn, Duke Ellington) & was reccomended it by Bruce. He was right I am laying dedicated lines on all my important tracks.
Alot of people in the Industry Bag out Monster but this opinion doesn't apply for this Pro 1000 cable. I cannot give opinion on the lower end Monster Consumer Cable.
All I can say is that this Studio Pro Cable has 'The Sound!' If on a Technical Aspect this cable isn't Technicaly Perfect - All I can say is that it has the Hit Material Sound - All things colour sound: Instruments Mic PreAmps etc so I doubt it matters if this cable colours the sound... Don't get me wrong - I don't think this cable coloured the sound but numbers to me don't matter - it sounds right! It sounded Uncoloured & Open & Natural & you could hear what you need to hear - The Core of the Soul of the Sound.
The other Engineers were Floored - BTW ALL of MJ's hits were Recorded Mixed & Mastered by Bruce since 1987 with This Cable & if it's good enough for Prince, Red Hot Chilli Peppers etc then it's good enough for me!
Couldn't speak more highly!
Only thing I didn't like - The cable is prepackaged & I had to get it cut to make some other connection endings etc - Custom Job...
