(More customer reviews)I ordered this item to be the base for a Atlas Sound GN-19E - Microphone gooseneck mount - ebony mic stand to use with my laptop DJ setup. Rather than mount it on a stationary object like a desk or table, I got a 1/4" sheet of fiberboard, some shiny aluminum contact paper and cut out a custom base. I covered it with the contact paper then drilled holes and used some 10/32 flush bolts with lock washers and nuts to keep the base securely attached to the fiberboard. It looks great and functions really well. Anywhere I take my Hercules DJ Console RMX board, I can just slide the fiberboard base under it and have a gooseneck mic stand which takes up virtually no desktop space.
