I bought this to make a poor mans Sennheiser gaming headset. Short story, works great.
Longer story. THe mic works fine as a input for a PC gaming rig using standard audio capabilities
on the system motherboard (realtek in this case). It sounds fine with Ventrilo chat application and no issues for voice communications that I could detect. It fits well around my neck and is not
a hinderence for comfort. During audio tests I used Ventrilo's built in test plus I asked in guild
if there were any sound issues with my new mic. Yes, I sounded a tad different than before but that
can't be helped as I have no way to tell if the mic I had before was doing some odd pre-emphasis. I had purchased a Sennheiser HD595 headset which has no mic boom attached. The HD595 headset is as good as their MUCH higher cost gaming headset that is computer (input ohm rating) friendly that comes with a mic boom. With this Nady mic plus Sennheiser HD595 setup I have a equal solution for quite a less bit cash outlay plus I feel it is far more flexible situation overall than going with a pure
gaming headset solution.
Thumbs up on Nady Mic Headset. It saved me cash and works fine. Nuff said.
THe mic cable is quite slim so is delicate. A plus I suppose for those that would use this as a
mobile rig for stage work.
