(More customer reviews)It works well, and the range is just phenomenal (much farther than I will ever need it for), but it was my own stupid mistake to think this receiver was battery powered. I need it for an outdoor setup on a battery powered amp. Thankfully I was able to make a trip to Radio Shack and build a battery pack for it. Both mics have great clarity, and I love the squelch function. It will come in handy.
Update: We did not end up using the lapel mic because our videographer had his own lapel mic that he got the priest to wear. Well, I can say that at least the standard mic in this kit is very good in an outdoor situation because it didn't pick up any wind noise. When we got the wedding video back, there was lots of wind noise that turned up on the videographer's lapel mic.
