(More customer reviews)I sing lead vocals for a 20-piece Big Band, and I also own a Web business for which I do audio recording; so, I wanted a mic that works well for both applications. The Shure mic exceeds my expectations.
From a live perspective, the mic does a great job of clearly picking up the lows and mids in my voice. It gives a very true representation of my tone, and doesn't accentuate plosives at all -- even when the volume is cranked up. I've gotten lots of compliments from musicians who can't believe how inexpensive the mic is for the quality. Plus, it looks FANTASTIC on stage.
Recording is great, too. It picks up vocals without pulling in too much ambient noise. It has a warm, well-rounded sound.
