Arrived VERY late. Amazon doesn't stock it, neither does their reseller, so it was a direct order from the manufacturer. My extra $$'s for 'expedited' delivery mean paying more for a 10 day ship period. Ugh. The equipment arrived in good condition.
The mixer itself is easy to figure out and use once you're setup. The problem is that there's no 'switch' for line vs. MIC output, so you've got to pull out the Leatherman to adjust the POTs on the back to change output level. And the positions aren't marked. It ships with a MIC setting, and I found that rotating the POTs all the way clockwise (opposite from the manual !!!) brought the levels up to line level. I just hope I remember where MIC level was when I need to go back.
This mixer is missing a 'level' meter and a tone generator. So, expect to spend a couple of painful minutes with your camera operator trying to establish good mic levels. It does have a clip light, but this often kicks in at too high a level to save the camera input from over saturation. Again, a switch, or a meter, or a tone generator...Any one of these...would have made the process 100 times easier.
Overall, sound quality is good. Battery life is EXCELLENT (I'm on my second full day of shooting with this set of batteries and they're only down a 1/4 of a volt with 2-3 channels going at all times). Metal case has decent quality...though a little 'tinney' sounding compared to a SHURE or other high-end mixer. Connectors exiting the 'bottom' when suspended from a strap is a little weird, but certainly doable for mobile shots.
All in all, I like this product. However, I've learned my lesson and will happily pay additional money in the future for a model with definitively switchable output levels and level meters.
